Layout Factors (Δ Delta Operations)
Sometimes when working with a time/method analysis it is useful to sort out factors that are related to the layout. It can be ergonomic factors or transportation due to the layout.
Once the actual assembly sequence has been created, it’s possible to add layout dependent factors by so-called “delta analysis”.
This is useful to visualize ergonomic issues or waste due to transportation of material.
- Press Shift-key to create Δ(delta) operation.
- The red Δ-operation can be added between tasks, and is used to add layout dependent factors e.g. steps, bending's, heavy lifting.
