AVIX Pilosophy

Reach the optimal manufacturing process

The best work method (standard) is the one with shortest time best quality and minimum operator stress.

Explanation

This is a description of the AVIX philosophy and coloring system and it’s a good idea to understand this regardless if you are going to use stopwatch time analysis or standard time analysis.

Based on the classic and widely accepted lean philosophies, there are a number of critical losses occurring in the production environment:

Waiting: Caused by resetting, bad process flow or internal balancing losses (one operator waits for the other).

Unnecessary movements/transportation and handling:
Caused by bad workstation layout, assembling method or design.

Defects/Quality problems:
Re-work caused by a bad method or production process.

Our goal objective is clear:

Don't spend time on activities that are are not value adding to the customer!

This is the important viewpoint in the way AVIX addresses losses by identifying:

  • What actions are/are not value adding?
  • How can we optimize the way we perform these actions?
