Activities

The activities in AVIX are used to describe the operation and to help define the added color.

Activity	Explanation	Example
◼ Take	Taking things	Get a part from shelf
◼ Place	Placing things	Place part or tool on table to be assembled later
◼ Handle	Handling things	Assort/prepare before assembly, e.g. preparing tubes
◼ Affix	Gluing, applying torque, screwing	Affixing a screw
◼ Adjust	Adjust something	Often carried out after assembly
◼ Assemble	Placing Value part in its final location on product	Only placing, thereafter add affix/adjust etc.
◼ Inspect	Checking an assembly	Quality control
◼ Return	Returning things	E.g. returning a tool
◼ Read instruction	Getting information	Could be the first task at each workstation
◼ Administration	Documentation of information	Writing, stamping
◼ Wait	Waiting in workflow	E.g. when a machine is resetting itself
◼ Work	Machine work	Value adding machine work, e.g. grinding, drilling
