FIXED LICENSE

These are fixed licenses which, after activation, are locked to the computers where they are activated. Licenses are in the form of license keys that must be activated in order to work. They can be activated by direct contact over Internet or by mailing a file.

In the case of activation over the Internet, each computer that is to be activated must be able to communicate with Solme AB’s license server on ports 443 and 8080. This is the fastest method of activation, but if Solme AB’s license server cannot be contacted due to network settings, firewall settings or other reasons, this may prove difficult. If problems occur while activating via internet, try to activate via file instead.

Overview for fixed license activation

File activation is achieved by allowing AVIX to create a file at the time of activation that is then saved and sent to Solme AB, preferably via e-mail to licensing@solme.se. Once Solme AB has received an activation request, a message containing an activation file will be returned as quickly as possible.
The activation file can be used to activate the license only on that computer.
Once a user has chosen to activate via file and has saved the license file, AVIX becomes inaccessible until the license has been activated (this wait state can be cancelled).
When the application is started before the license has been activated the user will be reminded that there is no activated license and then given an opportunity to activate the license.
