Import STEP file

If needed, it’s possible to handle parts according to the STEP-model (Standard for The Exchange of Product model data), often used by CAD software.

The process to import as STEP (.stp) file is similar to importing an Excel file with parts.

This extended part handling in AVIX makes it possible to handle  versions and different levels in the part structure and also to add extra information e.g. length, volume, and weight.

This extension creates a good way to work with D-FMEA and DFA analysis since the part structure allows the creation of sub-assemblies and can, therefore, be applied directly in the FMEA and DFA modules.
